Who are we?

The Magic Rainbows are a team of swimmers that represent Rainbow Clubs at the Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean Swim every year and raise funds for their local club. Each club is asked to nominate at least one swimmer who can swim 1k in the beautiful waters off Malabar Beach on Sunday morning, 18 February 2024.

The Club representative can be a past or present Rainbow Club member with a disability, a family member or a Rainbow Club Teacher. Rainbow Club members may wish to have a companion swimmer with them and we will facilitate them as a part of the Magic Rainbows Team.

Its a great day for the whole family no matter your swimming ability. You and your family can enter any of the swims if you are over 10years old and a fundrasing page will be created for you and joined to our Magic Rainbows team so you can start fundraising. Entry is free for Magic Rainbows.

For our new swimmers we have our "Splash and Dash" events back again!

Splash is fun play on the waters edge.

Dash is a 250m asssited swim out to the watersafety board and back.

To register for any of the events click the "Green Register Now" button above and fill in the form, selecting either 1km, Splash or Dash in your event category. Please email events@myrainbowclub.org.au for special Splash & Dash password or for the FREE entry code for 1km and above distances.

Team Information

As a Magic Rainbow team member, you must be 10 years or older and must have trained for an ocean swim. You can choose your distance from the options available (1k, 2.5k or 5k)
You can be a past or present Rainbow Club member, a Rainbow Club family member or a Rainbow Club Teacher.
You will travel in style and free of charge. A friendly driver will collect you from your home, bring you to Malabar and bring you home again after you have completed your swim.
Swimmers with a disability may wish to have a companion swimmer with them and we will facilitate companions as though they are part of the Magic Rainbows Team.
You get FREE entry as the Registration Fee is waived for all Magic Rainbows. We will provide you with the promo code when you are ready to enter.
You will get an individual fundraising page to share with your family, friends and club's members and any money raised through this page can be used in your club for social events next year.
